Overview

Directed and edited a short film highlighting an entrepreneur, Dee Edwards, owner of Zenith Factory. Produced for Black History Month, the film centered on Edwards’ personal journey into fitness and the significance of owning a gym. The project aimed to represent Black history through lived experience and storytelling rather than traditional labeling, while also inspiring others to pursue their own aspirations

Results

The project was submitted for an Emmy Award and helped drive growth for Dee’s gym, Zenith Factory, by increasing visibility and showcasing the business through the film. The short film reached a broad audience through social media platforms, generating engagement and conversation around the business and its story. It also served as an inspiration for other entrepreneurs by highlighting community impact.
